Through the website, I had signed up for lessons in the morning. This was also confirmed by email. I also completed the intake. Once I arrived in Spain, they were able to find my details, but there was no space available, and they asked whether I could come back the following week. In the end, I completed another intake and was allowed to come back in the afternoon. The lessons themselves were excellent (great teacher), but without any persistence on my part, I probably would have gone home without having had any lessons.

The school is well situated in the heart of the trendy Ruzafa district, which means there are plenty of places to eat and have coffee around the school. The covered market is just a stone’s throw away. The staff respond quickly to emails and are professional, helpful, and friendly. The teacher explained the material clearly, often with humor, listened attentively to the students, and summarized very accurately what the students contributed. It was nice that the teaching materials were handed out in class. That way, you do not have to buy a book and you only cover what really matters at that moment. I thought the class size of approximately 8 to 10 people was ideal. The school looks neat and tidy. What I did miss was a space where you could chat with the students before or after class, something like a living room with coffee and tea. That way, you could have a quick chat before school starts or talk things over afterward. During the week I was there, two activities were organized. Unfortunately, one of them was canceled due to insufficient participation. The wine tasting did go ahead, and it was interesting and very well organized. In short, it is a school where you receive excellent lessons from a passionate team.

It is a pleasant school with modern teaching methods. Videos and music clips are used, and attention is also paid to the everyday language spoken by young people. The atmosphere was very good, and even though I was there for only one week, I was immediately welcomed into the class. There was a lot of collaboration and interesting discussions.
